At our February 7, 2014 General Membership Meeting, it was Hospital Parres, the General Hospital that serves the less fortunate segment of our Morelos population, attending their emergency needs, that received a donation from CCCC. Fran Kean, who has actively promoted and conducted support to Hospital Parres, received a donation of $4,000.00 that will be channeled to the Voluntary assistance committee of that institution.
This committee runs a Bazaar that receives donation, both in cash and in used items and discarded medicines, sells some items at accessible prices and donates goods and cash to needy patients and their families. At every meeting CCCC collects used, clean clothes and other items, and donates them to the voluntary Ladies Committee, who run the Hosopital Parres Bazaar.
An interesting fact: The city of Cuernavaca is a sister city of Denver, Colorado. A few years ago a whole container of hospital goods was shipped, from Denver, to the Hospital Parres.
